I want to book a summer holiday for my husband, my daughter and myself, but we haven't decided where to go yet. MAN: Oh, I'm sure we can find something for you. When are you thinking of going? WOMAN: In June, no. Sorry, July, for two weeks. MAN: And what sort of holiday do you enjoy? Do you want to go somewhere hot? WOMAN: Well, I love the sunshine, but my husband gets a bit bored just lying on the beach. MAN: How about a safari? You'd have plenty to see and do then. WOMAN: Oh, that would be fantastic. But I'm afraid we couldn't afford that. MAN: No problem. We'll look for something in Europe then. Are you interested in visiting museums and art galleries? WOMAN: My daughter and I are. She especially loves big cities, but my husband prefers the countryside. But we all really love eating out when we're on holiday. MAN: Maybe we should try and find you something in Italy or Spain. WOMAN: I'd love that, but my husband's been to Spain. And Lucy, that's my daughter, went there last year.
2 I think she'd rather go somewhere different. Italy sounds good, though. MAN: Well, the food area is always fantastic. And we might be able to find you a small cottage in the countryside at a low price. WOMAN: Oh, yes. That sounds perfect. MAN: Well, I'll give you a brochure. You can look at it with your family and then give me a call when you make your decision. WOMAN: Thank you. Part 2: You will hear a woman taking about flights in a hot air balloon. For booking and information, phone (6) _______ 0125288492______ or visit www.hotairballoons.com TRANSCRIPT If you are looking for an extra special present for yourself or a friend, why not book a flight in a hot air balloon? These exciting trips give you the chance to enjoy a really unusual view of the countryside. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. There is no upper age limit and everyone is welcome. However, it is essential that all passengers are fit. This is because you will have to climb in and out of the basket under the balloon. For a successful flight, we need light winds. It is also important that there is no rain and that we have a clear sky. If there is too much cloud, we will cancel the flight and rearrange it for another date. The temperature in the air is similar to that on the ground. So you should wear casual outdoor clothes. Also, you must remember to wear boots. That is because you may have to walk in fields that are wet and dirty at the end of the trip. The direction the flight takes depends on the wind. The pilot will choose a suitable landing place which may be between 5 and 30 kilometres from the airfield we start from. But don't worry because transport is provided. A mini bus will collect you. You won't have to walk all the way back to the airfield. All our flights take place in the evening, and departure times depend on when the sun sets. The season starts in March and in May, for example, the flights would be at 6 pm. The last flights are in October, and after that,
4 of the tourist resort of Dolchester. The park was set up in 1997 by the Canva family but was then taken over by new owners in 2004, who have maintained the original vision of the Canvas. It has lots of old trees, hundreds of flower beds, and a gorgeous lake. Canva's has over 45 different rides, exhibits, and arcades. All but one of these is free once you've paid your entrance fee. We charge a small fee for our newest ride to reduce the length of the queues. You don't pay anything for parking. A family ticket for a family of four works out at about eight pounds per person, which is amazing value. Full details of current prices are shown on our website, along with full details of rides and directions for getting to us. We also have a number of special offers. For example, if you live locally, why not join our Adventurers Club, which entitles you to 50% off ticket prices all year round and a special lane for all rides and exhibits, which means you don't have to wait to get into any part of the park. See the offers tab on the website. We've recently added a number of new exhibits to the park, and we're particularly proud of our future farm zone, which houses over 20 different species of animals, from chipmunks to dairy cows. The emphasis is on getting near to the animals. All of them can be petted, and you can buy food for feeding the animals. Many of our younger visitors say that this is the high point of their visit. And speaking of food, don't let the animals have all the fun. We have a total of seven different catering outlets on the site. We're open 10 to 5:30 all year round, and cold drinks and snacks can be bought at any time during opening hours. Hot food is available most of the day in the Hungry Horse Café from 11 until 5, just half an hour before closing time.
