ART CLUB Part 2: Tell me a painting or a photo that you like. One of my favorite paintings is called “Young Girl by Lilies" by a Vietnamese artist, To Ngoc Van. The painting depicts an elegant young girl wearing Ao Dai, sitting by the lilies. It's really peaceful and charming. (37 words) Part 3: 1. I kept a painting for a long time. Tell me a thing that you have had for a long time. I have stored a few family photos from a trip to Vung Tau 10 years ago. These pictures are kept in my album. It sometimes reminds me of valuable moments that are always a delight to flip through at family gatherings. (41 words) 2. I would like to learn painting, but I have not found an effective way. Should I take a course at my local college? Please, give me some advice. I totally agree with you. It's good for a beginner to take part in art classes with many experienced teachers who can help you start with some basic drawing techniques. Besides, you can go on the Internet and find some videos relating to paintings to learn by yourself at home. (50 words) 3. Street art – where people paint on the building – are becoming popular. However, some people criticize that it is bad. What is your opinion? It’s a great pleasure to talk to you. In my opinion, street art should be banned because it is usually created on public properties without permission. Moreover, there are also some street arts that are really offensive and relate to religions and taboos. (43 words) Part 4: “Dear all members,
The Art Club is organizing a talk to the public to attract more attention. We are going to invite an artist to give a talk to members. As a member of our club, could you give us an artist to join our talk and what topic should they share to gain more attention. We would like to have more both young and elderly members.” 1. Write an email to your friend – also a member of the club. Hi Annie, How are you these days? Have you heard about the club notice? They intend to invite an artist to give a public speech in our club, and they need our ideas in choosing the theme for the talk. To be honest, I was so over the moon when I received this news. So I'm planning to toss some of my suggestions into the club's hat. Got any advice for me? Love, Hien. (74 words) 2. Write an email to the organizer of the plan. Dear Sir, My name is Hien Le, and I have been a club member for two years. This email serves the purpose of expressing my feelings and opinions regarding the recent notification that I have received from the club. With regard to the announcement, our club is going to hold a formal talk and invite an artist to draw the attention of the public. I was ecstatic when I discovered this news, as this plan is genuinely outstanding. From my perspective, it would be preferable if the club could post details of the notice on the forum so that all members can come up with some valuable ideas for choosing the theme of the talk. In addition to the guest, I would be deeply grateful if we could invite some young, talented artists who have great influences on social media to captivate the audiences with their engaging stories and inspire them with the same enthusiasm. Besides, it would be fantastic if we could hold the talk show on Sunday, which is appropriate for both young and old members to attend. I hope you find my suggestions helpful. I look forward to your prompt response. Best regards,
Hien Le. (198 words)
