Objective:- This procedure is prepared to define the procedure for aluminum window work and to fabricate & fix the aluminum window to acceptable standards. 2. Scope:- The procedure shall be adopted for all the works of Raymond Realty. in building works projects. 3. References:- 1. Relevant drawings. 2. Technical Specification. 3. Relevant Standards. 4. Responsibility:- The section in charge/Supervisor: Concern section in charge and Supervisor shall execute our work as per procedure and maintain the checklist for days of work. QA/QC Engineer: Ensure the proper methodology is being followed during execution. 5. Safety Precautions:- 1. Only trained persons should handle the activities. 2. Ensure that material handling shall be done properly. 3. Use of PPE like goggles, hand gloves, helmets, and gumboots. 4. Use of arm guard in cutting machine. 5. Mitigation hazards while working at heights. 6. Safety precautions while handling & transporting material.

Machinery, Equipment’s and tools used:- Saw, Hand cutting Machine, Drilling machine, Measuring Tape 5m, 30m, saw, Right angle, Plumb bob, spirit level, etc. 7. Material:- 1. Aluminium section (Jindal or as per WO ) 2. Toughened clear/heat-strengthened glass (Modi/Asahi/ Saint Gobain/ or as per WO) 3. Hardware 4. EPDM gasket (EPDM black/PVC transparent or as per WO ) 5. Wool pile (techno fab – Grey Color or as per WO ) 6. SS 304 Screws 7. Hole Guard 8. Locking guide (kinlong/assabloy/ or as per WO or consultant recommended ) 9. Heavy-duty roller (Assabloy/Mccoy or as per WO or consultant recommended) 10. Protection tape 11. Silicon sealant (Dow Corning 784 or as per WO or consultant recommended ) 12. Baker rod (Supreme India) 8. WORK PROCEDURE: Raw Materials, Their Inspection and Acceptance Criteria Aluminum Sections: 1) Aluminum section shall be of reputed make/manufacturer as specified. Technical brochure/literature (Jindal) for the same shall be made available on-site from the manufacturer or as mentioned finishing details 2) The weights kg/m given in the catalog are the nominal weights. In practice, Tolerance, alloy, and other factors will affect the final weight and a normal variation of + or - 10% should be expected. It shall be checked on-site after delivery and properly recorded. Tolerance of length & width shall not be ±1.5 mm. 3) Dimensions, thickness & weight shall be specified as per manufactures standards 4) Polyester Powder coating (Jotun or RAL as per finishing details) shall be carried out through reputed applicators and shall have approved shade and satisfactory finish. The coating shall be uniform and without scratches. 5) The coating of aluminum section powder coating shall be 60 to 70 microns or as mentioned in finishing details respectively or otherwise as specified in the contracts with permissible tolerance of ±3 microns. The coating shade shall be approved by the architect or as per the finishing details
RAYMOND REALTY RR/ WP-15/ Rev - 0 Page 4 of 8 Or 6) Anodized aluminium section as per WO, the coating should not exceed 20 microns unless specified 7) All sections, shall be perfectly straight, without any bends, twists etc. 8) Aluminum section shall preferably be cut and drilled before powder coating to avoid causing burrs or disturbance to the coating during their cutting to the required sizes. 9) Burrs, if any, shall be de-burred using the de-burring tool. A proper record of the cut section with a coding system shall be maintained on-site for assembly later. 10) Protective masking tape shall be applied over Powder coated aluminum sections to the full depth. 11) Approved samples of coated aluminum sections shall be made available on-site for comparison with new incoming material for cross-checking. Glass: 1) Glass delivered shall be Toughened clear/heat-strengthened glass clear of 5 mm thickness or as per finishing details of approved make. (Ex. Modi/Asahi/ Saint Gobain or as per WO). 2) It shall be of specified shade and thickness and shall be protected against damage by providing paper cover over it. Approved pieces of the sample shall be made available on-site for checking. 3) It shall be clear, transparent, or as specified and without any visible defects such as scratches, waves, or air bubbles. 4) Cut edges shall be uniform, without any burrs or unevenness (beveled or diamond cut). Others: 1) Roller bearings shall be the heavy duty of the approved manufacturer and as per approved samples. 2) All hardware fittings such as handles, locks, screws, etc shall be of approved make and size and perfectly coated with the same shade as that of main aluminium sections or as specified. 3) EPDM / PVC glazing gasket, wool pile, and weather strip shall be as per the approved sample. Gaskets shall be soft, flexible, and made of good-quality rubber. Wool piles shall have adequate backing thickness and flexibility.
