1 About FinTech Club The FinTech Club at RMIT University Vietnam is dedicated to bridging the gap between business, finance, and technology. As the first-ever student-led financial technology club in Vietnam, our mission is to create opportunities for students to learn, innovate, and build together through workshops, events, training sessions, and competitions. 2 About Hack-A-Venture 2024 Information Details Overview RMIT Hack-A-Venture 2024 is a hackathon-style innovation competition, welcoming business and technology major students nationwide! It encourages students to develop products, solutions leveraging emerging technologies to address realistic social problems in Vietnam. It also requires teams to create practical business strategies to launch their idea into the real market. Hence, it is truly RMIT’s first playground that connects business and tech students together! Participants are expected to develop minimum viable products (MVPs) featuring core functionalities, supported by comprehensive and logical business plans. Theme The 2024 theme focuses on utilizing either Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, or Cybersecurity to develop products or solutions that contribute to specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Vietnam. Three specific SDGs will be revealed at the start of Round 1. Competition Purpose With the pace of Digital Transformation in Vietnam, Business students are realizing they need tech to scale or transform businesses. Meanwhile, Technology students are technically adept, but often lack market sense to know what solutions to develop. Our mission is to bridge this gap in expertise, and prepare the Vietnamese youth for the digital future, turning Vietnam into a digital powerhouse in the next decade! 4 Handbook: RMIT Hack-A-Venture 2024
