PHILIPPINE GEOGRAPHY, CULTURE AND TRADITIONS
LEARNING OBJECTIVES  At the end of the lessons, the student should be able to:  appreciate the geographic form of the Philippines;  identify the different landforms, water forms, flora and fauna that can be found in the Philippines;  locate the Philippines’ coordinate using a map; and  appreciate the culture and tradition of the Philippines.
GEOGRAPHY  Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments. Geographers explore both the physical properties of Earth’s surface, and the human societies spread across it. They also examine how human culture interacts with the natural environment and the way that locations and places can have an impact on people. Geography seeks to understand where things are found, why they are there, and how they develop and change over time. – National Geographic
CULTURE  Culture refers to the cumulative deposit of knowledge, experience, beliefs, values, attitudes, meanings, hierarchies, religion, notions of time, roles, spatial relations, concepts of the universe, and material objects and possessions acquired by a group of people over generations through individual and group striving.
