Principal SUBJECT: Procedures for the Payment and Distribution of Textbooks for the 1st Term of SY 2025-2026 DATE: July 15, 2025 All learners are reminded of the following: I. Use of textbooks 1. Learners are required to purchase all the prescribed textbooks recommended by their subject area teachers. This shall serve as the main reference material. Everyone should observe intellectual property in the use of books/learning materials. Learners are strictly prohibited to reproduce and distribute any portion or the entire copy of the textbook/learning material: 1.1 taking screenshots or photos of the book 1.2 photocopying the whole book 1.3 uploading any portion of the book on the internet 2. Learners are expected to read the prescribed textbooks/learning materials in advance to prepare for the upcoming discussions. Topics/content sequences to be discussed may be seen using the course outline in the Learning Area Plan for Students (LAPS) provided by the subject area teachers. 3. Learners must observe the deadline for submitting required assessments taken from the textbooks/learning materials. 4. Learners should cite the books/learning materials correctly if the content is used in any requirements submitted for the subject. II. Payment Procedures Strictly follow the following payment procedures for the purchase of textbooks for the 1st Term of SY 2025-2026:
1. Refer to the Attachment A to see the prices of textbooks for the 1st Term of SY 2025- 2026. The same file may be accessed at Textbooks 2025-2026 - Google Drive 2. Schedule of payment is from July 21 to July 23, 2025. 3. UST SHS will only process orders for the complete set of books. For individual book purchases, please communicate and transact directly with the publishers at their offices or distribution centers. Make sure to pay the TOTAL AMOUNT ONLY, and not the individual prices of books as we will not accept your payment and we will direct you to the Office of the Vice Rector for Finance to get your official receipt for a refund. 4. Payments shall be made through the bills payment facility of the following banks, both for over-the-counter and online banking: a. China Banking Corporation (China Bank) b. Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company (Metrobank) c. Security Bank Corporation (Security Bank) Please take care in writing/ encoding the correct payment reference number. We will not be able to verify your payment and process your order if you write or encode an incorrect reference number. The payment reference number shall be as follows: For China Bank and Metrobank (18-digits) ONLY: 00520250nnnnnnnnnn (Trans Code – 005 BOOKS)|(Lower range of the current academic year – i.e., 2025 for AY 25- 26)|(Default to zero)|(10-digit Student Number) For Security Bank (16-digits) 005250nnnnnnnnnn (Trans Code – 005 BOOKS)|(Lower range of the current academic year – i.e., 25 for AY 25- 26)|(Default to zero)|(10-digit Student Number) 5. In case the bank requests for a copy of the myUSTe Payment Slip, kindly advise the bank teller that they are making non-tuition fee payments. 6. The processing of the payment, similar to other payments made through bills payment, will be processed and posted in three (3) working days. This means that the names of learners who pay on the day of distribution will not yet be reflected in the official list of complete payments and they cannot claim their orders yet. 7. Learners who made complete payments and whose names appear in the official list may claim their textbooks during their designated onsite distribution/ claiming period. However, learners must keep and bring their proof of payment (printed or digital), on the day of their books claiming.
