UNIT 2: WEARING AND CARRYING I. Objectives By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - Gain lexical vocabulary related to clothes - Ask and answer about clothes - Improving Listening, Reading, Speaking skills. II. Procedures Stages Teacher’s activity Student’s activity Purpose Note Warm up - Check homework - Ask S look at the picture (slide 3) - Use pen tool/ mouse to point at random person and ask S by structure: What is he/ she doing? => She/ He is wearing… (encourage S to say as many as she/ he can) Interact with T Answer T’ questions Help the student to brainstorm about the topic Pre-teaching - Show slide 5, tell S observe it in 30 seconds to remember the items that she/ he know - Move back to slide 4 and ask S to list down all the item she/ he has memorized Vocabulary - Teach S new words (slide 6 and 7 – detailed in the material) - Let S listen to the audio first Follow T Interact with T Follow T Listen to audio Provide new knowledge which is included in the lesson for the student
- Ask S to repeat each word few times - Click the mouse one more time to have the image going with the word move - Help S to confirm the meaning - Check S understanding: Task A. Write the letters to make the words under the pictures - Open slide 8 - Tell S look at the pictures and fill the missing letters to complete the words - Give S time - Check (T can share S mouse to control or instruct S to use Annotate) Activity: Describe clothes - Open slide 11 Look Write - Practice the knowledge they have learnt in “presentation” stage - Interact in English with the T to improve reflection

Read the sentences and write the correct words from the box - Tell S read the description and choose the most suitable word from the box to write next to it. - Explain new words if needed - Give S time - Check Task C. Look and read. Circle the correct word. - Ask S to look at picture, read the sentences and circle the best answers - Give S time to do - Check Task D. Who are the people at the castle? Listen and draw lines - Open slide 14, tell S look at picture and answer questions (detailed in the teaching materials) - Instruct to listen to know who they are describing then match that person with the correct name - Play the recording (twice if needed) - Check Task E. Listen again - Tell S listen again to answer 4 questions - Help S underline key words in each question - Go back to slide 16 and ask S what name that wasn’t mentioned in the audio - Ask S look at the picture and describe the people who haven’t got a line to a name.
