As you know, this was supposed to be a translation project but although it was canceled, I still wanted to share my reading experience with you in my own way. I wanted to somehow help convey the same feeling of reading it like how it was written, so I hope you appreciate this small gift from me! For being alive. Just by being alive like this, the people by your side would be relieved and grateful. So...try living today. The weather is so nice after all.” “I heard it’s going to rain tomorrow. Then, while waiting for the rain to stop, try living again. Then eventually, maybe a day would come that living isn’t so bad.” Writer’s commentary: I thought everyone should be able to feel the same way with how Sol wanted to save Sunjae with no matter what she did. “I will save the person who made me want to live when I wanted to die myself.” I couldn’t think of other reasons than this. Also, sometimes, someone’s passing words can really save a person. I hope Sunjae’s warm comfort can be a small comfort not just for Sol, but for someone else too. Episode 2 “I don’t know how I can explain it to you... Right. Dream. I had a bad dream. I dreamt that you got really hurt in the stadium and it seemed so real. That’s why I feel like something like that is really going to happen, I’m anxious and worried...” “You’ll die! I said you’ll die! I’m the only one who knows that in the world, and I can’t even tell you! But I still want to protect you, I need to save you so I’m doing whateverI can...” Writer’s commentary: Actually, there isn’t much Sol can do to change Sunjae’s fate 15 years later. But still, she risked everything holding on to small hope and did things that may not have made sense. She was also worried about what she would do if the things she did came out as just being playful. Sol’s heart is very sincere. So that’s why I put a scene of Sol pouring out her emotions despite knowing time would stop if she talked about the things that will happen in the future. I wanted the viewers to know Sol’s earnest heart. Looking at it again, more than the lines itself, I think this scene was even better thanks to the actor’s deep acting. Episode 3 “You’re smiling prettily too.” “Keep smiling like this. I... will stay by your side.” “So that you won’t feel lonely when it’s hard and you won’t get scary thoughts.” “I will stay like that forever... so live for a long time.” Writer’s commentary: I liked the words Sol told Sunjae more than Sunjae’s confession. Sol’s heart that wanted to make Sunjae smile for the rest of his life is pretty.

Or... was it you?” Writer’s commentary: It’s the narration that has the story that I wanted to tell through the drama. Episode 5 “We live our lives missing a lot of things.” “To me, Sunjae is... a distant existence that could not be reached like a star in the sky.” “During the end of my teenage years filled with memories I did not want to recall... If only I turned to look, Sunjae was within the distance I could reach all along, had I reached out my hand. He breathed the same air as me every day, looked at the same sky. Walked the same path. He knew me and my name.” “And the fact that he saved me... yet, I did not know it then.” “It was only when I came back a long time to face my past again that I realized how much moments of connection I missed. Maybe... the moments I shouldn’t miss are constantly sending me signals as they shine brightly somewhere.” “Not missing those signals. Could that be the reason why I came to this place, the reason why you and I met again? Writer’s commentary: These are the feelings that I wanted to put in the drama along with the love story of Sol and Sunjae. During the planning I wanted to express this scene as, “Please look at this moment beautifully as the now becomes the past even if just one second passes. I hope it becomes a time to regain the special moments that might have been missed in the time that passes by.” Episode 6 “Do you know what I hated the most? When it’s raining.” “I’ve been in the swimming pool all day long and when I come out and it gets moist when it rains, it annoys me, and I hate it. But it rained on the first day I met you, you know? I liked it that day.” “How can I like something I’ve hated all my life at one moment?” “I thought it was only that day, but no. I still don’t hate it till now.” “I don’t think I’ll hate it in the future too. The rain, and you.” “Sol-ah. I... like you a lot.”

Please do not sell/re-upload/screenshot. 3 Writer’s commentary: It’s a scene where 19-year-old Sunjae had to confess innocently and sincerely, so I thought a lot about what he should say that won’t seem like something made up. I picked this because I think the lines were doubled, tripled, with the pure and sincere acting of the actor. Episode 7 “Let’s stay together today!” “I said let’s stay together tonight. You and I.” Writer’s commentary: Now that Sol and Sunjae are no longer 19-year-olds, I wanted to show that they are 34 years old (through this line). Episode 8 “The clock. What was the meaning of it?” “It’s just the same with what’s written on the letter. That I hope your time...would pass by without stopping.” “I think the time that has stopped so far is now flowing properly.” Writer’s commentary: Don’t you think Sunjae’s time, who lost memories of Sol, passed by without meaning? The time in his heart has stopped. If for Sol, ‘time’ means she wants a long lasting ‘life’ for Sunjae to be alive, for Sunjae, ‘time’ means ‘love’, that he can be in love with Sol. Episode 9 “Why did you follow me...why do you keep coming...why!” “I’ve been so mean to you. But why are you worried about me? Are you a fool?! I said are you really a fool! I told you to only think about yourself... Someone like me, a mean kid like me, you should curse me out and get me out of your heart!” “Why are you foolishly getting yourself into something like that, why! Please, Sunjae...” “Alright, I get it. I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything. So, stop crying. Okay?” “Just pretend you don’t know me. Don’t worry about me! Wherever I am and whatever I do, no matter what happens please... leave me alone...”
