American, … hard-working. B. SINGULAR VERBS (Động từ số ít) S1 and S2: hai danh từ chỉ một người, bộ phận, món ăn, …  Bread and jam is my favorite breakfast. S là cụm danh từ chỉ thời gian, khoảng cách, tiền bạc, hay sự đo lường  Ten years is a long time.  Five thousand dollars is a big sum of money. S là các đại từ bất định: one, everyone, no one, nobody, anyone, anybody, someone, somebody, everybody, anything, something, nothing, everything  Nobody is in the room now.  Everyone knows the truth. S là một V-ing, To V, Mệnh đề danh từ  Studying hard is very important.  To earn much money is my target.  What we should do is cleaning the floor.
