With mom’s permission, I stepped inside. My mom said that I could choose a book to be a present for my birthday. - Faced with many choices from various kinds of books, it took me a while to decide. In the end, I picked “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie, a book that I heard good things about.
- The book taught me important things about talking to people and getting along with them. When I finished the book, I felt like I had learned a lot and wanted to be a better person. 2. Effort + Challenge + Achievement: - I wanted to become fit by losing body fat. Being in such a shape made me look older than my current age. - I joined a gym club near my house so that I could do exercise on a regular basis. I went to the gym day by day. Thus I felt really exhausted and tired. - However, the most challenging part was the diet. I had to cut some of my favorite foods like sugary foods out of my diet. - After two months, I lost almost 5 kilograms of weight. I looked slim and I had a more youthful appearance. - I also give many thanks to my parents because they encourage me every day. - From my perspective, people face challenges in daily life by having a positive attitude and focusing on solutions. 3. Teamwork + Thuyết trình + Help people + Hurry: - I participated in a science competition with a group of friends. To prepare for the presentation, we spent several weeks researching, discussing, and practicing. - However, the day before the presentation, our team’s computer crashed and we lost all of our data. In facing that situation, I didn’t get discouraged but hurried to find a solution. All night long, I used various methods to recover the data. - Thanks to my effort, I finally succeeded. Our team was able to complete the presentation excellently and win first place. My group members were so grateful to me for helping them out. - From my point of view, there are some things that make a good team. Firstly, communication between team members. Secondly, trust and respect. Last but not least, having effective leadership. 4.
