Why topic/ theme-based work? 4 - Easy to relate the lesson to the experiences and interests of the pupil - Can link the content with the knowledge from other classes, learners’ daily lives or even national and local culture - Help the learning process: learners can associate words, functions, structures and situations with a certain topic  help both understanding and memory - Bring learners and their needs more into focus - Allow the teacher to be flexible in choosing the timing and material for each activity to fit the allotted time  The teaching is more interesting
