HISTORY OF SEP LITIGATION IN INDIA SEP litigation started in India in 2009 with the filing of Philips’ case for its DVD standardized technology. It was only in 2013 that SEP litigation gained traction, with Ericsson enforcing its telecommunication (2G and 3G) SEPs against multiple entities based out of India and China.
