Examples Each of the following is a simple statement. (i) Chennai is the capital of Tamil Nadu. (ii) The set of real numbers is an infinite set. (iii) The sum of 6 and 3 is greater than 10. Compound Statements: A compound statement is a combination of two or more simple sentences. The method of combining two or more simple sentences is known as compounding.
