Cell (Ʊকাষ)  Cell is the structural & functional unit of life. Ʊকাষ Ʋহেছ জীৱেদহ গঠনৰ Ʊমৗিলক আƩ কাযƳকৰী একক। Discovery of cell (Ʊকাষৰ আিৱŹাৰ)  In 1665, Robert Hooke discovered cell with the help of cork (bark of trees) 1665 চনত ৰবাটƳ Ɲেক এটা ককƳৰ টুকুৰাত (গছৰ বাকিল) Ʊকাষ আিৱŹাৰ কিৰিছল ।  Living cell was discovered by Leewenhook. িলউেৱন Ɲেক জীৱত Ʊকাষ আিবŹাৰ কিৰিছল।  In 1831, Robert Brown discovered the Nucleus. 1831 চনত ৰবাটƳ Ņাউন Ʊয় Ʊকাষেকģ আিৱŹাৰ কিৰিছেল ।  Cell theory was given by schleiden & Sewann. Ʊকাষ মতবাদ ƱŸইেডন আƩ Ʊųাৱানেয় আগবঢ়াইিছল। Types of cell (Ʊকাষৰ Ĵকাৰ i. On the basis of no. of cells - (Ʊকাষৰ সংখাৰ ওপৰত) a. Unicellular (একেকাষী) e.g. Amoeba (এিমবা) b. Multicellular(বƝেকাষী) e.g. Plants, Animals (উিĉদ, Ĵাণী) ii. On the basis of structure (গঠনৰ িভিóত) a. Prokaryotic cell (Ĵেকাষেকģীয় Ʊকাষ) Nucleus is undefined (সু-ƒŻ Ʊকাষেকģ নাথােক) b. Eukaryotic cell (সংেকাষেকģীয় Ʊকাষ) Nucleus is defined (সু-ƒŻ Ʊকাষেকģ থােক) Plant Cell iii.  Vacuoles are absent, Sometimes in tiny shapes its present. সধানী Ĵায় নাথােক।  Some important cell orgenelles (িকছুমান Ĵেয়াজনীয় Ʊকাষ অংগানু) i. Nucleus (Ʊকাষেকģ)  It is called head of the cell. (Ʊকাষেটাৰ মুখ অংগ বুিল Ʊকাৱা হয়)  Genes are present, & it is known as hereditary unit. িজন িবলাক থােক িযেটাক বংশগিতৰ বাহক বুিল Ʊকাৱা হয়।  Structure of a Nucleus ii. Mitochondria (মাইট'কিģয়া)  It is known as the "Power house of the cell". (েকাষৰ শিৰ ভৰাল বুিল Ʊকাৱা হয়)  It have own DNA. মাইট'কিģয়াৰ িনজৰ DNA থােক  Aerobic respiration occurs সবাত ųসন সংঘিটত হয়। iii. Lysosome (লাইছ জম)  It is known as "Suicide bag" of the cell. Ʊকাষৰ আ÷ঘাতী Ʊমানা বুিলও Ʊকাৱা হয়। Nutrition (পুিŻ)  The process of providing or obtaining the food necessary for health and growth. Heterotrophic (পৰেপাষী) 1. Autotrophic(Ɨ -েপাষী) : Autotrophic nutrition is a process where an organism prepares its own food from a simple inorganic material like water, mineral salts and carbon dioxide in the presence of sunlight.
