HAR GHAR DHYAN Session Outline (1 hour) Below is a general guide to conducting the session with suggestive topics. Please apply your best experience to customize as appropriate for the audience. Take good pictures of the session with standee/poster/backdrop clearly visible Each session must be reported using this form taol.cc/HGDreport Introduction 3 min (of Meditation Coach by the Meditation Ambassador. If you have gone alone or with volunteers, introduce yourself and the volunteers) Ice-breaking and/or a brief about the Project 5 min Clap Game or equivalent: Only do if appropriate for the institutional audience Interactive Engagement with probing questions, story or activity, e.g.: 10 min May pick a few of these suggested topics (see manuals for detailed reference); connect these back to mental health Negative emotions (stress/anxiety) when mind is stuck to past or future; living in the present Stories – sharpening the axe, boatman & drowning person Activity – Counting circles or squares around you How the breath & mind are connected Link between breath and emotions Brief about Pranayama (optional) Loosening up; Naadi Shodhana (optional) 5 min What is meditation? 5 min Expected answers: concentration, focus, doing nothing Debrief: Meditation is relaxation. You don’t need to concentrate, but the result of meditation is concentration. Panchakosha Meditation 15 min Talk about this Meditation Being effortless. Then start with Panchakosha Meditation Feedback 2 min Did you enjoy the meditation? How long we meditated? What is the state of your mind? Importance of meditation 3 min Physical vs Mental Hygiene (decluttering of mind leads to clearer perception) Impact on health, happiness, focus, relationships, efficiency Successful people are making meditation a part of life, sportspersons, filmstars, businessmen Share the benefits you got in life after learning meditation (optional) Q&A 10 min Open the floor to questions from participants Conclusion, Enrolment into further communication channels 2 min This is very important. Give a crisp ending. Thank the organizers & ask participants to make meditation a part of daily routine Must urge all participants to scan the QR code* to get regular updates about meditation, connect to AOL social media channels, get opportunities to attend webinars on mental health, and get information about programs Fill them with a sense of pride about meditation, e.g. the whole world is waking up to meditation; smile is the best fashion *QR Code given separately on last page.

Do not promote your upcoming courses, unless there’s a question from audience about upcoming nearby programs 3. No money to be accepted (even if the institution has a policy for the same). These are free sessions, supported by Government of India 4. No commercial activity to be promoted during these sessions 5. These are NOT meditation classes, but introductory sessions for outreach. They should not be repeated for the same audience again and again. 6. Do not exceed one-hour. 7. Do not use these sessions to increase personal Social Media following. Direct everyone to QR code / URL as given in the collaterals.
